Pre-Construction Meeting
The meeting went very well. We got to meet Eric: Project Supervisor and Matt: Project Manager. They were both very nice and we feel very confident in them.
The meeting was nothing too exciting. We basically just reviewed all of our upgrades and talked about the construction process. James and I did catch a couple small details that were wrong in the builders paper work. They had us down for stainless steel appliances and we had ordered Black. One thing I was very happy about was able to get them to leave off the kitchen cabinet pulls and not pre drill the doors. Now I can go pick out what ever pulls I want. Yay!!! Ryan homes gave only 3 options for pulls and I really didn't like any of them. The funny thing is that I had asked about that a few weeks ago and our sales rep said it wasn't possible because the cabinets come pre-drilled from the supplier. Very glad I asked again.
We walked the lot with Eric and Matt and they showed us the stakes making where the corners of the house will be...that was fun. The front yard is going to be a bit bigger than we thought but on the flip side the back yard will be a little smaller. The good news is that our lot backs up to an open field that will be a common area. So, basically if you own a home and your yard backs up to the field you can play there. Right now it's just our yard and one other yard that back up to it. Once the new phase houses are built there will be about 3-4 more houses that will have access to it. We are pretty excited about that.
So, that's about it. I drove by today and was very excited to see a dumb truck and 2 bobcats clearing our lot!!!!
